GOLDEN   GATE   WOMEN'S   SOCCER   LEAGUE

CSAN Registration Procedures via Affinity

To streamline the registration process and ensure that you get your player passes on time, please try to submit the bulk of your team registerations at least two weeks before the first game of the current season.  One person on the team should be the primary contact person for CSAN.

Contact the Member at Large - CSAN Representative if you have questions about the registration procedures.

1. Each Fall season, before any players can be registered via Affinity, each team must complete, sign and submit the Annual Mandatory Form and return to the CSAN (office@csan.net).

2. Registering players with CSAN's Affinity System:   Please note - players must be registered by 11:59 PM on Wednesday to be eligible for that week's Saturday or Sunday game.

A. The Player registers their self (preferred method)

  • Go to cnadult.ggwsl.affinitysoccer.com
  • Hit the REGISTRAION link (top right corner)
  • Follow the links, inputting the necessary information into the system.
  • Download your photo.  Your photo must be a front facing headshot of only you (no hat or sunglasses may be worn).
  • Sign the online Electronic Legal Agreement (ELA).
  • There will be an option to either have your player pass mailed to you or you can pick up from the CSAN Office.  If teams choose, they can have one team member go to the office to pick up all player passes.
  • Pay the $31.50 player fee.

OR

B. The Team Manager registers the team

  • The team manager goes to cnadult.ggwsl.affinitysoccer.com
  • Hit the REGISTRAION link (top right corner)
  • The team manager uses their own password and enters the registration information and downloads the photo for each team member.
  • The manager pays for all the players she registered.
  • The team manager has the following options to get players to sign the CSAN waiver.
    1. Save the Affinity Electronic Legal Agreement (ELA) as a pdf and have the player sign the the ELA with an e-signature. This can be done with Adobe pdf files. Download the e-signed document to the player's Affinity profile.  You can download this form next to the player's photo.
    2. Have individual players sign Release of Liability Form - Single Player (CSAN) The manager can then scan the form and attach to the player's Affinity profile.  The waiver can be downloaded next to the player's photo.
    3. Have all team members sign the CSAN Team waiver form.  This form needs to be turned into the CSAN office either by email, fax, mail or dropped off at the office.

CSAN will only issue player passes once the Affinity ELA or CSAN waiver has been verified.

As of January 1st, 2017,  EVERY PLAYER MUST SIGN THE AFFINITY ELECTRONIC LEGAL AGREEMENT (online) OR SIGN THE CSAN WAIVER (Paper).  This is a CSAN and USASA (United States Adult Soccer Association) Requirement.

If a team/individual is unable to register on-line:  PAPER REGISTRATION

Paper registeration will take longer to process than on-line so please try to get your materials turned in at least 3 weeks prior to the start of the season.

1. Each player needs to sign the Player Registration Form and the CSAN Release of Liability Form.

2. Each player needs to submit an orginial photo or from a color printer (Xerox'd copies will not be accepted).  The photo must be a forward facing headshot (no sun glasses or hat). Photos should be sized approximately 2" x 2" and taped to the square on the top right corner of the Player Registration Form.

3. Please submit (either via email or bringing into the CSAN office ) as many completed forms as possible at least two to three weeks prior to the start of the season (the earlier the better).

4. Please send only one check (or one credit card payment over the phone) for all of your players (e.g. 15 player forms @ $31.50 each = one check for $472.50). Do not send individual checks for each player.

Dual Player: Players who play on both an OPEN and an Over 35 team

Players who play in both the Open and O-35 division need to complete and sign the CSAN Multiple Player Registration form at the beginning of each fall season or the season they start to play on multiple teams.

Each player must have a player pass with the name of each team they are registered on. The fee for the secondary registration is $8. So players pay $31.50 for the Primary Team and $8 for the Secondary Team pass.

The Affinity online registration system is not currently set up to handle dual registrations, drops or transfers so these items have will have to be made via a paper form that can either be emailed, mailed or brought to the CSAN office with the appropriate fee.  All forms can be found under the Registration tab at the top of the page.

Dropping and Transfering Players

Players who are transferring to your team from a team they played on in the Fall must complete the Transfer Player Registration form, which costs $4. The team they are leaving must complete and submit a Player Release Form, along with the old player pass and $4.

If a team needs to release a player and add a new one in that roster spot in the same week in order to stay under the roster maximum of 27 players, the team manager may call or email the CSAN office to let them know which player is being released. Once CSAN confirms that the player has been released, the team can register the new player online, and then the team manager needs to turn in the Player Release Form and fee to the CSAN office at the end of the week to pick up the new player's pass. Player releases and transfers are $4 each.

The Affinity online registration system is not currently set up to handle dual registrations, drops or transfers so these items have will have to be made via a paper form that can either be emailed, mailed or brought to the CSAN office with the appropriate fee.  All forms can be found under the Registration tab at the top of the page.

Spring Registration

In the Spring, the only people who need to register are those players that are new to the League or past players who did not play the previous fall.
